Day 3 we went to see the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, the upper and lower falls, and toured around the banks of Yellowstone Lake. It was a gorgeous day and we saw so many pretty things that its hard to capture all on film or a blog. It is a recommend spot to visit if you want to go on a nature vacation.

We stopped at some more geysers and thought this one was cool because it was shooting out of a cave

This buffalo we guessed lost the bet to the others on who had to stay by the touristy area for photos so the visitors would leave the rest alone.
Give a kid water and a big ball and they have a lot of fun - but the adults were funny too.

The boys love looking at waterfalls anywhere but they thought these were really cool because they were so powerful.
The buffalo have no problem causing traffic jams.
We ate lunch at a really pretty site by the river - unfortunately the place was infested with mosquitos so we finished our sandwiches in the truck after the swarms wouldn't leave.
We couldn't get good pictures of it but the stream had huge trout swimming upstream to spawn.
The lake shore was beautiful and we were fortunate to share the evening with some elk.
