This day we decided to drive to Jackson Hole and visit the Grand Tetons. They were beautiful and the rivers overflowing with the runoff from the mountains were so neat. We had the opportunity to take a boat shuttle to the middle of Jenny Lake and then proceed to hike up to Inspiration point (spectacular), and visit some other cool points of interest then we hiked the shore of the lake back to the visitor center. After we finished with the park we drove into Jackson Hole and had dinner with Brad and Mary to celebrate our anniversary and then we had to run to Kmart to buy another air mattress because ours got a hole in it and we were tired of sleeping on the ground. :)
This is a little waterfall on the way but the boys wanted to stop and hike to it.
Corbin was tired so he sat in the truck but we captured our entrance to the park.
This was our boat shuttle - Corbin and I got to sit in the back and feel the overspray.
There was so much water melting off the mountains that they had to close one of the bridges that crossed the path because of danger.
Yee-haw says cowboy Hunter
The air blowing off the cold water was so nice the boys just wanted to stand there on the bridge.
Half way up.
The top of the path to inspiration point was rather rocky.
This gives a better view of how much water was rushing down the mountain.
We made it to inspiration point and were treated to an amazing view of the lake and park.
Back down we went. The boys did awesome hiking.
Surprise - they wanted to stop at another waterfall.
There were some really cool trees on the river bank.
We saw a beaver working pretty close to the trail.
This was our hike along the lake back.
After a delicious dinner of pizza we head back to Yellowstone at sunset.
